The 'Maremma Toscana' is known for the wild beauty of its countryside, its lovely beaches, interesting history, traditions and excellent cuisine. The Maremma Wine Estate lies in the heart of the 'Maremma' , famous for its production of fine wines. Close by to the west is the coast with its sandy beaches and blue Tyrrhenian Sea and to the east the beautiful medieval town of Massa Marittima. The estate has a shop offering products of its own production such as wine, olive oil, preserves etc. and on request it is possible to visit the wine cellars. Walking and biking can be enjoyed along the estates 6km of mature cypress tree avenues.There are several good restaurants and trattorias to choose from in the nearby area with the nearest at just 1km being one of the best.

It is a very interesting area with much to see and do. Within in few minutes drive there is the delightful medieval village of Scarlino which resting on top of a hill enjoys a fine view of the sea towards the town of Follonica where you will find a sandy beach, a wide range of shops and restaurants and a water fun park, continue a little further along the coast and you will arrive at the pretty Gulf of Baratti famous for its Etruscan Archaeological park, the Rimigliano Nature Park and the Thermal Springs of Venturina or change direction and a short drive south of the estate will take you to Punta Ala surrounded by the sea on three sides, with pine tree woods, beach and tourist port it is well worth a visit as is the seaside village of Castiglione della Pescaia and the Maremma Nature Park just a little further down the coast. When you feel like venturing further you will find that a day trip will take you to any of Tuscany's most important art cities - Florence, Siena, Pisa, Volterra and San Gimignano.

VILLA CANCELLONI:

The villa is divided into two apartments.

Apt Cancelloni Uno is on the ground floor of a farmhouse . It is furnished to a high standard in classic Tuscan style to offer very comfortable accommodation. It has a large living room with side door opening on to a private covered terrace and front door opening on to the garden. The terrace which is in a secluded position is furnished with table, chairs and barbecue. The spacious garden with grass lawns and trees is fully enclosed and there is a lovely swimming pool (10m x 5m) which is also fully enclosed. Both the garden and pool are for the exclusive use of the two apartments. At the pool there are sun loungers and two gazebos offering shade on hot sunny days. In the garden (6,000 m²) there are two tables with benches and there is a covered parking area immediately next to the garden. There is a laundry room for use of both apartments with independent access on the ground floor of the house which has washing machine, iron and ironing board.

Apt Cancelloni Due is on the first floor of a farmhouse. Its entrance is by private outside staircase leading up from the garden and finishing in a small balcony. The apartment is furnished to a high standard in classic Tuscan style to offer very comfortable accommodation. It has a living room with door opening on to a private terrace enjoying a fine view of the countryside. The terrace which is ideal for enjoying alfresco meals is furnished with table, chairs, sun umbrella and barbecue.
